DAY 2
【First Stop: Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)】

On March 27, the Organizing Committee of the AMTXP visited Bangkok, Thailand, and held in-depth talks with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). The two sides reached a number of consensuses on the framework of exhibition cooperation, and the Thai side clearly stated that it would provide all-round support to facilitate the launch of the exhibition. Focusing on the theme of “Discussion on Cooperation and Support for Thailand's Exhibition Market”, the two sides discussed detailed cooperation plans.
In terms of government support, TCEB noted that it has included the AMTXP in its official exhibition calendar and assisted in planning the exhibition schedule, so as to secure local government endorsement and participation in the opening ceremony. TCEB will also carry out full-range promotion through social media and industry associations.
Innovative cooperation models became a highlight of the meeting. The Thai side proposed exploring a joint venture model with local exhibition companies, especially to promote in-depth industrial cooperation in machinery, chemicals and other advantageous sectors. According to market research, Thailand’s intelligent machinery sector is growing at an annual rate of 12%. TCEB will prioritize providing the latest information on venue space, layout and other hardware facilities, as well as sharing a list of local exhibition companies and project resources to be released in May.
The two sides reviewed successful cooperation experiences such as the China-Thailand eyewear exhibitions. The Thai side stated that it would continue the model of “government sets the stage and enterprises perform”, and provide incremental support including invitation of senior officials and media promotion as the exhibition scales up. To ensure smooth follow-up communication, TCEB appointed a dedicated liaison officer and confirmed an information sharing mechanism, enabling the project team to obtain timely updates on Thailand’s local market and policies.

In her concluding remarks, Ms. Chanyaruk Qin, a senior executive of TCEB, emphasized:
“The ASEAN International Machinery Equipment & Technology Exhibition serves as an important platform for promoting the upgrading of Thailand's machinery industry. We will provide full-chain support from policies to resources with the utmost sincerity.”
Li Pige, head of the project team, stated that this meeting laid a solid foundation for the exhibition to be held in Thailand. In the future, both sides will deepen cooperation in emerging fields such as intelligent machinery and green manufacturing, so as to build a new benchmark for China-Thailand exhibition cooperation.
