Endoline Broadens End-of-Line Automation with Montech Robotics
Endoline Automation has expanded its robotics portfolio through a collaboration with Montech, adding further robotic options to its end-of-line packaging offering ahead of the PPMA Show in September.
The expanded capability will make its PPMA debut on stand D90, where Endoline plans to demonstrate a fully integrated line combining case erecting, case sealing and palletising for the first time on its stand.
Through the Montech collaboration, Endoline said it can now offer both gantry and articulated robotic solutions alongside its existing end-of-line automation systems. The company said this will allow robotic technology to be selected according to factors including product type, throughput, factory layout and future production requirements.
The PPMA demonstration will integrate an Endoline case erector and case sealer with a Montech palletising system. Each machine can also operate independently or be incorporated into an existing packaging line, allowing manufacturers to introduce automation incrementally.
“Every production environment is different, which is why we’ve always focused on engineering solutions around our customers rather than expecting customers to adapt to standard equipment,” said Andrew Yates, Managing Director of Endoline Automation and Endoline Robotics. “Expanding our robotics capability allows us to offer even greater flexibility. Whether a project is best suited to gantry or articulated robotics, our focus remains the same – engineering the right end-of-line solution for that customer’s application.”
Endoline established its robotics division in response to growing demand for fully automated packaging systems. The company said it has already integrated its end-of-line equipment with Montech technologies on customer installations in Europe for a number of years.
Yates added that labour availability is continuing to increase interest in automation among food manufacturers, with customers increasingly seeking complete systems from a single engineering partner.
The two companies are family-owned engineering businesses and bring more than 40 years of experience in automation solutions to the collaboration, according to the release.
Visitors to Endoline’s PPMA stand will be able to discuss customised automation projects with its engineering team and see how integrated end-of-line systems can be configured around productivity, available factory space and future production requirements.
